Phillip, majority shareholder and Group CEO since 2006, has spent most of his career with Lamex Food Group after joining us in the 1970s. He was instrumental in expanding L&M Canned Foods, as we were once known, from a tiny canned goods importer into an international business. He honed his knowledge first as an export director and then managing director, ensuring year-on-year growth and specialising in export sales to the Far East. Today, Phillip oversees all group trading activity and strategy from bases in the UK and the USA.
Colin joined Lamex in 1975, quickly becoming a Director with a remit to develop and oversee growth in imports from Europe, and then became a significant shareholder in the 1980s. With a background in investment management and underwriting from Lloyd’s of London, his focus on a core group of strategic suppliers and customers has delivered huge dividends for our company.
David joined the Main Board of Lamex Food Group in 2006, opening our office in Northern Ireland. He started work in the food industry in 1990, rising to become trading director for Malton Food Group in 1997.
Mark is a Director and Shareholder. He joined us in 1990 to establish our frozen and aseptic fruit business, having previously spent 10 years in the City of London. In 1995 he left to develop his specialist fruit knowledge, returning in 2001 to focus on global honey and juice, as well as having overall responsibility for IQF, aseptic and dried fruit.
Mark is based in the UK with responsibility for EU poultry imports and the management of the Thai office. He has been part of the team since 1996 and a shareholder since 2006, joining us from a background from Kraft Jacob Suchard and a financial broker in the City of London.
Mark is Vice President of our US Division, a position held since 1997. After graduating from St. John's University in Minnesota in 1991 with a BSc in Business Management, Mark joined us as a trainee. His strong influence over the growth of Lamex Foods Inc. continues today as he oversees the day-to-day operations and trading capacity of the US office.
As President of the US Division and shareholder, Steven has direct responsibility for the offices throughout the Americas, as well as Russia and China. Steven joined us when we were L&M Food Group in 1986, transferring to the newly formed US Division in 1997 to share the Group’s sales and logistics expertise across the US marketplace.
Paul is the Head of Global Juice, based in the Florida office of Lamex Agrifoods. Paul began his career at the London Metal Exchange, joining Lamex in 2006 in the newly formed juice, juice concentrates and honey division. After impressive early results, he became a director of Lamex Agrifoods in 2010, and promoted to the Lamex main board in 2013.
Christine joined as our Financial Director in 1989, following a career as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins and Sells with experience in audit and corporate recovery. Christine is based in Switzerland.
Joe became a Director of our Europe division in 2017 and sits on the European board. He joined us in 2009 having begun his career in the red meat sector with Silver Fern Farms and Anglo Beef Processors. Joe has been instrumental in growing our red meat concerns in Europe and fresh poultry imports to the UK.
Ewald joined Lamex Foods Group in 2002 after a career in the meat industry across companies in the Netherlands. Since joining, he has significantly developed the import of raw and processed poultry products, becoming a Director of the Europe division in 2012. Today, he is responsible for leading the Dutch office.
Mark Grason joined us in 1997 from the Danone owned Galbani Foods, becoming a Director in 2006. Mark is responsible for poultry imports and worldwide party food, as well as joint management of the Thai office.
After a career in international trade, working for Doux Frangosul amongst others, Conrado joined us in 2005 managing our Brazil office. He has developed an experienced and multi-skilled team that has enabled us to consolidate our position in this constantly growing, challenging market.
Greg Olsen joined Lamex Agrifoods Inc in 2002 with substantial experience in the juice concentrate business. Working out of our Minneapolis office, Greg has built our US honey division. He is a recognised industry expert,current president of the National Honey Packers and Dealers Association, and is an alternate president on the National Honey Board. Greg has helped develop the True Source Honey programme.
James began his career in the City of London but moved to the food industry in 1989, initially with a company specialising in canned goods and nuts. He joined us in 2008 to spearhead the UK sales of honey, as well as IQF and dried fruits, beans and pulses to the UK industrial sector, working closely with Mark Tompkins to develop the Europe-wide Agrifoods business. He became a director in 2011.
Kyle joined us in 2016, after receiving a degree in Economics from Miami University in Ohio. Working out of the Minneapolis office, he has directly overseen the management and growth of the US pork import and export business. Kyle also manages the Philippines business transforming into one of the largest export markets.
With a food industry career starting in 2009, Justin us in 2014 and currently leads the US Agrifoods division. He manages frozen fruit, vegetable, and juice sales across the US and Canadian markets, showcasing our expertise in navigating the complexities of global supply chains and our commitment to driving growth within these key territories.
